Boarding at Collège Champittet opens doors to a world of experiences – especially during our boarding trips abroad! For the autumn holiday break, our boarding students had the possibility to set off for two weeks of exploration in Singapore and Malaysia.
Our boarders began their adventure in cutting-edge Singapore, experiencing the best of culture, art and technology. At teamLab Future World, part of Singapore’s famed ArtScience Museum, our students immersed themselves in stunning exhibits blending technology and art. From interacting with digital images of flowers in bloom, our group then marvelled at real plant diversity in Gardens by the Bay, where they enjoyed a spectacular evening music and light show.
Our young travellers also explored the heritage and vibrant cultural tapestry of the Chinatown neighbourhood. Finally, they rounded off their visit to Singapore with a splash – going down water slides and observing marine life at Adventure Cove Waterpark!
After leaving Singapore, our Champittet boarding students travelled to Malaysia to discover the country’s natural and urban wonders. On beautiful Langkawi Island, our students spent a day snorkelling and admiring coral reefs. They also explored the natural scenery while taking a catamaran cruise, taking a break for a paradisiacal lunch on the beach. A cable car ride to the island’s highest point capped off the experience with breathtaking mountain views.
The final stop on our boarding trip adventure was Kuala Lumpur. Surrounded by the skyscrapers and temples of Malaysia’s capital, our boarders saw firsthand the city’s dynamic blend of modernity and tradition. Here, our travellers visited key destinations such as the National Palace of Malaysia and the Petronas Towers – the world’s tallest twin skyscrapers. An excursion to the nearby Batu Caves – a limestone cave complex home to many Hindu temples – gave our students an unforgettable taste of both nature and culture.
Our boarders returned to Collège Champittet with shared memories, new perspectives, and fresh energy for the term ahead!
