The start of a new school year at Collège Champittet is always full of energy and momentum – and that’s true for our teachers and staff, as well as our students! To get into the back-to-school spirit, we held a series of special events for our teams, including a Team-Building Day and a Professional Development Day.
We recruit only the most talented teachers and professionals to deliver the best educational experience for our students. This year, we are delighted to welcome 27 new colleagues to Collège Champittet. Our Team-Building Day on August 18th helped to ensure that all our staff and teachers have the latest information regarding safety, rules and regulations as well as life at our school. It also served as a lively opportunity for us to share ideas and build relationships, whether in workshops or over a coffee break. With a focus on creativity and collaboration, our music-based team-building exercise was the perfect way to get into the rhythm of a fresh school year!
Staying at the forefront of education is a key priority for our educators, which is why we regularly hold Professional Development/Pedagogical Days for our teachers to discover educational best practices. On August 19th, all our teaching staff met to focus on the important topic of metacognition. Metacognition, or the ability to think about one's own way of learning, is a crucial skill for nurturing successful lifelong learners. At Collège Champittet, we aim to cultivate metacognitive awareness among all our students. During our Professional Development Day, our educators discussed ways to build these skills in the classroom, enabling our students to grow as motivated and resilient learners.
Many thanks to all our teams for bringing great energy and enthusiasm to our back-to-school sessions. Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!
