Tap dancing, four-hand piano, magic tricks and theatre… these were just some of the many talents on display at our Collège Champittet Talent Show! Held on May 21st, our Talent Show put the spotlight on some forty students from Grades 4 to 12, who dazzled us with their performances and stage presence.
Our audience of family and friends enjoyed a wide variety of musical performances, from pop-rock to jazz and classical, with instruments such as piano, violin, flute, cello, drums, guitar and voice. Our young musicians’ dedication and enthusiasm on stage certainly added that extra sparkle to our Year of Music celebrations at Champittet. But music was not the only talent of the evening – our young performers enthralled us with their creativity in dance, theatre and skipping rope, among other passions!
From the backstage excitement of our students to the delight of our audience, the Talent Show was a wonderful experience for everyone involved. Taking to the stage gives young people a unique opportunity to express themselves and boost their confidence. As one of our teachers said, “It’s so moving to see students reveal themselves outside the classroom, so passionate about what they do.”
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support and leadership of our caring teacher and Dean Madame Riederer and Madame Toussaint. Many thanks to them and to all our organisers who ensured that every detail was in place for a magical evening, and to our entire Champittet community for coming out to support our students.
Most of all, thank you to our talented student performers – for spending so many hours practicing and rehearsing, and for putting on a spectacular show!
