At CDL Middle School, Geneva, our students’ personalised learning journey continues, as they choose between Francophone, Anglophone, and Bilingual programmes. Underpinned by the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC), each programme has been expertly designed to prepare our students for the challenge of High School.

Our Middle School Curricula

Unique to our Middle School in Geneva, we offer our 11 to 14-year-olds a choice of three programmes: Anglophone, Francophone, and Bilingual. Each one is carefully designed to support our students’ transition from Primary – and to equip them with the tools they need to succeed in High School.

All our programmes are based on the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC). Our Anglophone programme draws on elements of the Cambridge International Curriculum, while our Francophone programme includes aspects of the l’Education Nationale Française.

ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL MIDDLE YEARS CURRICULUM

The International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) provides a holistic Middle School education that encourages exploration and discovery, nurtures talents, and provides rigorous teaching in specialist subjects.

Your child will learn in small groups and receive personalised instruction tailored to their needs. They’ll learn the importance of teamwork and effective communication, too, as they grow into motivated young learners with a deep knowledge of the core subjects. Through a range of global themes and experiences, our Middle School age students also discover their sense of self and place in the world.

HEALTH AND WELLBEING

In Secondaire I and Middle School, we want our students to feel safe and happy, valued and understood. This is why our structured wellbeing curriculum, also known as personal, social, health and economic (PSHE) education, is at the heart of every learner’s educational experience.

All our Middle School age students have a Homeroom Advisor, who oversees their wellbeing. Working with a dedicated pastoral team, the Homeroom Advisor ensures our young people have the support they need to become confident, independent, and lifelong learners.
