The Pre IB pathway at TBSW is designed to prepare students for the full International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and beyond. The curriculum develops essential skills through core subjects such as Sciences, Mathematics, and English, while offering a solid grounding in Humanities including History, Geography, Business, Economics, and Psychology.

With personalised guidance and academic support, students receive the recommendations they need to confidently select their IB subjects and transition smoothly into the Diploma Programme.

At The British School Warsaw, students may also choose our A Levels pathway an alternative academic route leading to exceptional academic excellence and recognised worldwide for university preparation. Students typically select three or four A Level subjects, allowing them to specialise deeply in areas aligned with their strengths and ambitions.

Our current subject offering includes Psychology, Business, Geography, and Travel & Tourism - ensuring a wide selection of disciplines to suit diverse academic interests.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What qualifications do your teachers have?
    We only hire experienced teachers with a degree in teaching or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the UK, or the equivalent from their home country. Most of our teachers are native English speakers.
  • What size are your classes?
    Our Middle and Upper School classes are capped at a maximum of 22 students.
  • My child doesn't speak much English. Will they be OK?
    Yes! Our English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme is designed to support newcomers with little or no English. At TBS Warsaw, children learn English very quickly thanks to our immersive English-speaking environment.
  • How is Polish integrated into the curriculum?
    The British School Warsaw is officially registered within the Polish educational system as two institutions: a Polish Primary School (Years 2–9) and a Liceum (Years 10–13).

    This accreditation allows the school to issue official end‑of‑year certificates for students in Years 7–12, as well as final school‑leaving certificates for students completing Year 13.

    In accordance with Polish regulations, students are divided into two groups based on language proficiency: native Polish speakers and non‑native speakers. Non‑native speakers follow Polish as a foreign language. Polish students—and any other students formally registered in the Polish educational system—are required to follow the Polish National Curriculum and sit the Polish end‑of‑primary examination at the end of Year 9.

  • What other foreign languages do you teach?
    At TBS Warsaw, we believe that learning foreign languages is a key part of an international education. Our Upper and Middle School students can choose between French, German and Spanish.
  • What afterschool activities do you offer?
    Through our Learning Enrichment Activity Programme (LEAP), we offer a variety of extracurricular activities every day of the week, including sports, music and creative workshops.
  • Do students wear uniforms?
    Yes, our students wear a smart and comfortable uniform. We believe that wearing a uniform instils a sense of belonging and respect. Uniforms also help students to save time getting dressed, making it easier to focus on their studies. Second-hand uniforms are available for purchase on our main campus.
  • How much are tuition fees?
    As a premium international primary school, our tuition fees reflect the outstanding quality of education that your child will receive. For the upcoming 2026/27 academic year, fees for Years 7 to 13 are projected to range from 122960 PLN to 129960 PLN.
  • Do you offer discounts for siblings?
    We offer a 5% reduction on tuition fees for your third and subsequent children.
  • When do you accept applications?
    Admissions are open throughout the year, and new students may join at any time during the school year.
