News | Academic How St Andrews Bangkok supports smooth school transitions from Early Years to IGCSE & IB
St Andrews Bangkok takes a thoughtful and structured approach to supporting students through every stage of their education, from Early Years to IGCSE and IB, ensuring both academic and emotional readiness at each transition. Beginning with personalised home visits and strong English language support in the Foundation Stage, the school builds early confidence, while activities such as classroom visits and taster days help students adjust smoothly between Key Stages. As students move into secondary school, transition days, subject exploration opportunities, and clear guidance through options evenings and dedicated counselling help them make informed IGCSE choices. In the final years, induction programmes and continued support prepare students for the independence of the IB. Alongside this, a comprehensive Careers and Higher Education programme, including counselling, alumni engagement, and Career Day, equips students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to succeed at university and beyond.
