We are proud of our students' hard work and achievements in this summer's IGCSE exams.

Our first day of school was filled with smiles as we welcomed both new and returning children to our community. From friendly greetings and high fives at the gate to happy reunions in the classrooms, it was wonderful to see our school come alive again.

Last Friday, NAIS Pudong opened its doors for New Student Orientation Day - a special event to welcome new families into the school community.

This week our teachers have been back on campus, attending training sessions, preparing engaging lessons, and setting up warm and welcoming classrooms for our students. The energy and teamwork have been inspiring as we work together to create the best possible start to the school year.

The Class of 2025 achieved an impressive average score of 37 points, significantly surpassing the global average of 30.58. Last Friday, our NAIS Pudong campus was full of joy and celebration as we welcomed parents to this year's Primary showcase along with transition assemblies for both Reception and Year 6 students — a highlight of the year that brings our vibrant community together.

This year, we proudly unveiled the NAIS Swimming Records Board, a testament to the incredible talent and dedication of our swimmers throughout the years. Thanks to Mr. Lang’s meticulous record-keeping, we’ve been able to trace and compare outstanding performances spanning two decades - showcasing the remarkable evolution of swimming excellence at NAIS.

As we approach the final days of the 2024-2025 academic year, I extend my gratitude to every member of our vibrant community for your support over the year. It is a pleasure to lead such a dynamic community, and I hope everyone finds time to rest and rejuvenate this summer.

Last week, as part of the Living Legacies series, our school had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Chen, an associate professor of economics and parent of an eighth-grade student, to speak to our Grade 10–12 students. In her lecture, Ms. Chen explored the causes and effects of the U.S.–China tariff dispute, blending professional insight with personal experience to bring the topic to life.

On May 30th, our school held the Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2025 and Principal’s Awards Presentation for whole school. The day was not only a celebration of academic achievements but also a tribute to character, growth, and individuality.  

MAST STEAM Summer Camp offers exciting, hands-on learning adventures for children aged 6–12, held daily from 9:30 to 15:00 at Aegean Mall in Shanghai's Minhang District. The camp features three engaging themes: Adventures Unlimited, Inventors & Explorers, and Time Trek. These programs cover diverse topics ranging from chemistry and engineering to AI and space science. Each week, participants will enjoy interactive STEAM projects such as rocket building, ancient civilization exploration, and forensic science experiments. The camp runs across three sessions from June 30 to August 15.

As part of our Social Impact programme, students recently took part in a hands-on learning experience at Urban Bees Shanghai, where they immersed themselves in the fascinating and complex world of honeybees. Through guided exploration of active hives, students gained first-hand insight into the bee life cycle, the distinct roles of the queen, drones, and worker bees, and the collective intelligence that drives the hive’s survival.

After years of learning and growing at NAIS Pudong, Kayson successfully completed his high school journey with firm enthusiasm and unremitting efforts. Standing at the node of graduation, he is about to go to Raindance Film School in London to start a new chapter of his creative life.

Last week, NAIS Pudong Primary School hosted a fascinating "Vintage Artifacts Show & Tell" lecture for Year 5 and Year 6 students, aiming to deepen their appreciation for Chinese cultural heritage.

After years of hard work, passion, and perseverance, Tia has proudly completed her journey at NAIS Pudong. As she prepares to embark on an exciting new chapter at the University of Brighton, we celebrate the incredible journey and growth she has experienced.
