Last week, as part of the Living Legacies series, our school had the pleasure of welcoming Ms. Chen, an associate professor of economics and parent of an eighth-grade student, to speak to our Grade 10–12 students. In her lecture, Ms. Chen explored the causes and effects of the U.S.–China tariff dispute, blending professional insight with personal experience to bring the topic to life.

As part of our Social Impact programme, students recently took part in a hands-on learning experience at Urban Bees Shanghai, where they immersed themselves in the fascinating and complex world of honeybees. Through guided exploration of active hives, students gained first-hand insight into the bee life cycle, the distinct roles of the queen, drones, and worker bees, and the collective intelligence that drives the hive’s survival.

On 9th and 10th of December years 7-9 students were given the chance to debate on a given present-day topic. A debate is a structured discussion where individuals present and defend their viewpoints on a topic, aiming to persuade others with well-supported arguments.

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting Jason Chang from Apple Inc as part of our Industry Expert Talk series. Jason has been an Operations Project Manager in the New Product Introduction (NPI) division at Apple Inc. since 2017. Before that, he worked in similar roles at Foxconn and Lenovo, accumulating over 17 years of experience in the tech industry.
