Music education is about more than learning to play an instrument, or learning to sing. At Northbridge International School Cambodia, we know that a holistic music education, preparing students for a lifelong enjoyment of music, has far reaching benefits. Our Northbridge International School Cambodia collaboration with Juilliard provides our students with high quality learning experiences, and also provides high-level professional training and personal development opportunities for our teachers.

As the mock exams begin to come into our students' focus at Northbridge International School Cambodia, it is important to spend a moment and reflect on what this all means.

Three quarters down and only one to go as our Northbridge International School Cambodia Grade 12’s are on the homestretch of an incredible two year journey. As I look back on the semester that has been, I can only be reminded of the infinite possibilities they have in front of them.

As the first semester draws to a close, it is with a sense of achievement that we look back over what has been accomplished thus far. As the crucial midpoint in their MYP journey, Northbridge International School Cambodia Grade 8 students have been worked well at striking a balance between academic requirements and co curricular commitments.

As we reach the end of the semester Grade 11 Students can take heart that they are a quarter of the way through the IB Diploma. The learnings of this semester are the foundation to what will be a cornerstone of their academic life, which will eventuate into graduating Northbridge International School Cambodia and taking on the world!

Is academic success enough? There’s no question that academic success is a huge part of what we’re about here at Northbridge International School Cambodia. However this alone is not enough as we prepare our students for the world of the future. We also place a high value on students being balanced, caring and principled; these attributes form part of the IB Learner Profile and our school wide Learner Outcomes.

Not many people get to say how they made a tangible difference in the world. Not many people get to talk about how they laid bricks and mixed cement to build a school, or changed the life of a family by building a goat shed, or providing a stove and solar panels that will improve their quality of life. A group of 20 risk takers from Northbridge International School Cambodia spent an amazing week in Tanzania from 3 to 11 November 2019 and did all of that and more while they made friends from all over the world.

The above headline is not entirely of my making; it is from an IB document a few years back which aimed to explain the nature of the Theory of Knowledge (TOK) class to IB teachers, including those at Northbridge International School Cambodia.

Northbridge International School Cambodia is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Martyn Shadbolt as the new Head of Primary, commencing from the next academic year in August 2020.

It has been a busy semester for Grade 10 students as they enter the final months of the five year MYP programme here at Northbridge International School Cambodia.

On Saturday 30 November, our first ever Northbridge International School Cambodia Cross Country running team competed in the ISSAPP Cross Country meet held at ISPP. For many of our runners this was their first experience training for long-distance running, and they have made great progress over a short period of time.

This semester, Northbridge International School Cambodia students in the Primary school have enjoyed a variety of trips and experiences to enhance their learning. Educational field trips are an important part of the school’s overall co- and extra-curricular program. They play an integral role in students’ learning and we are committed to finding new and engaging places to visit as well as inviting people in to speak to our students so that their understanding can deepen regarding a particular topic or issue.

On Friday 22 and Saturday 23 November, the Northbridge International School Cambodia Grade 6 to 8 Robotics Team competed in the first annual ROBOCUP at ISPP. The tournament was organised by student leaders from ISPP's 'Whyres' club.
