Before the game, our Under 12 football team played a fixture against the Al Nahda local school and girls from our Year 3 and 4 classes were the mascots for the teams, leading the players out onto the pitch.
The first half ended 0-0 despite the raucous support given to Al Wahda by our students and at half time students from our Under 16s football team took part in a penalty shoot-out in front of the nearly 5,000 crowd.
The BISAD presence must have brought out some fortune for the Al Wahda team as they finished the game 4-0 winners and have since gone on to beat Al Ain and Sharjah to rise to the top of the league - BISAD really does work wonders!
A wonderful evening was had by all and BISAD families are welcome to visit the Al Nahyan Stadium for all their home games this season with complimentary tickets, starting with a game this Saturday vs Dibba, kicking off at 4.45pm. Ask at the school reception for further details.
