FOBISIA Monologues Challenge 21/22: Highly Commended Students!

Congratulations to Shauna, Irene and Niva in Year 6, who all received ‘Highly Commended’ certificates from FOBISIA this week for entering the Monologues competition 2021/2022. You can view their fantastic performances below.
Students were tasked with entering a spoken-word piece of a dramatic monologue by video to a panel of professional judges.
The steps taken by students to produce these fantastic performances deserve recognition! Putting together a monologue is no easy task and takes a lot of skills. Students would have had to;
- Find and choose the right monologue to perform,
- Develop an interesting performance,
- Create and analyse their character,
- Learn lines,
- Rehearse the monologue many times,
- Execute a fantastic final performance in front of a camera.
Well done to everyone that entered the challenge and to Irene, Niva and Shauna who did so well to gain certificates in a very high-quality competition.
Watch the 'Highly Commended' performances below
1. Niva - Shrek the musical by David Lindsay-Abaire
2. Irene - Matilda the musical by Dennis Kelly
3. Shauna - Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare
We would like to say a big well done to everyone that entered the competition. You can view the list of performances on the link below:
